Playing House

What your money gets you in Perth...well if you want to be close to town and want to a decent rental income at some point, you look. Then you spend six more months looking. Then you curse the timing of the purchase as it coincides with the birth of your first child.

So the kitchen is getting a demo/makeover...these awesome tiles are only partly why. The useless space behind me is the main reason.

Lots of work, boooo. I wasn't too keen, I have to admit, but I think it'll end up being a good investment for us. Not the dream home, but I'm pretty impressed we made it into the Perth housing market.

Our front yard, nice brown grass. I mostly like the energy efficient mansion across the street. I rather liked what the guy said on that show "An Idiot Abroad", I believe it went something like..."I'd rather be the guy living in the cave staring at Petra, than living in Petra looking across at the cave."

Wasn't quite what he said, but you get the gist of it. We live in the cave.
